Prairie Land Food has helped me out tremendously with food expenses for the month. I am a single female with lots of animals and hobbies and sometimes food is the last thing I want to be worrying about buying. It’s so hard to eat healthy on a budget and PLF has so helped me with that. It also provides variety in my diet, which was much needed too. Thanks so much! I always look forward to the sneak peeks and seeing what I’ll be eating next month.

Being a single person, I have a tendency to overlook eating the proper
food groups such as vegetables, protein and fruits. It's easy to grab a
snack rather than sit down and eat a proper dinner. By joining Prairie
Land Foods, I'm eating better and feeling better. My energy level has
returned so I can keep up with the grandkids. Thank you, Prairie Land
Foods!

Prairie Land Food has meant a lot to me. My daughter and 7 month old grandson live with me and this really helps stretch an already tight budget. I appreciate all the work that goes into this program.

I'm new to Prairie Land, but I was amazed at how easy the process is
and how helpful everyone has been. To get groceries at a reduced rate
for community service has been a real help to me.
Since I am a single mom, having money for groceries can sometimes be a
challenge. The cuts of meat and quality of fruits and vegetables have
been a real blessing to us.
We had a severe storm and were without electricity for a couple of
days. I could not use the microwave or the oven to cook without
electricity. The only thing I had to cook with was a gas burner. I
went to the freezer and found some ham steaks from Prairie Land. They
were delicious and my son would not have known that I was struggling
for something to fix for dinner. He commented on what a good meal it
was.
It's always a treat to receive the multiple recipes, too.
I will continue to order from Prairie Land. Thanks for the wonderful
job you do and the help you've provided.

Your services have helped me out when I have had to stretch my money and did not have enough money to stretch. It has kept my children feed...When I couldn't buy the amount of groceries...I needed. Your help has been greatly appreciated by my family!!!
Thank you for all of your help...God Bless you all!

I am glad to have the chance to be able to feed my son at a very economical price as well as have nice quality food dishes for him. It is a Godsend to have these programs available for us who fall in between the lines of poverty and middle class living! LOL

Prairie Land Food provides my family with the opportunity to purchase a good variety of tasty and affordable meats and fresh fruits and vegetables as a reward for the work we do in our community.

I am sending you this short note on how Prairie Land has helped our home. I have not had to buy any high priced meat from the store is starting the program. I like how if I miss a month since it is just two in the household, I can pick up the next month and buy what I need. This program is a very good idea and more people should join to save their homes money. The products are very good and some are items that we would never try at the store (mostly due to the price in the store). We all work hard for our money and if we can save but still eat well this is great. Thank you for being there for our family.

Prairie Land Food's motto is "Volunteers stretching their food dollars" which is very true.
We look forward to seeing what is in the box for the month. I do not buy much fruit at the store, (until after PLF day) but my 14 year old son always asks what fruit was in box. If there were not any oranges then I have to buy some for him.

We really enjoy Prairie Land Food for many reasons: The meat is really good and the fruits and vegetables are always fresh. Things that we get are normally things that I can eat (I am diabetic). The price is really low and helps us stretch our dollars. And I don't have to go shopping in a grocery store as much. Shopping takes a lot of time and is on hard concrete floors due to back problems, I am wore out after shopping a lot and Prairie Land Food keeps me away from the grocery store. We also enjoy seeing the people from Dear Neighbor Ministries, where we pick up our food here in Wichita.
Thanks for having Prairie Land Food.

There are times that money has been so tight I wasn’t sure how I was going to put food on the table and the local health dept told me about this food program and it has been a blessing to my family ever since and we have been able to help out others who have little money by telling them of the program and or buying food from here for them.
Thank you for allowing us to share how P.L.F had helped us

Prairie Land Food means that I receive food that I wouldn't think to buy at the store. It's fun to try food you haven't tried before. Also, the quality of the food is great. In this day and age, we need something we can trust.
Jackie ~ Wichita, KS.
Not only was I able to touch a lot of people with this...Some of us also had our own "swaps" for instance one person hated the maple bacon, we loved it. So out went organic chili from my freezer in came bacon. In addition telling others about this gave me purpose that I find sometimes difficult to find these days...and...My lawn was mowed because I was willing to share things from Prairie Land that others didn't care for....worked in so many ways for me!
Eileen ~ Liberal, KS
I want to say how grateful I was when I found out about getting food at such a good value, and it being quality food. I do want to say this program is wonderful and everyone that we came in contact with was great and helpful. Thanks – and may
Lisa ~ Goddard, Ks
this program allows me to serve my children quality meals at a very affordable price. We also like to find tasks that we can do for others to allow us this opportunity.
Thank you and everyone else that works so hard in this program for all us on the receiving end!!
Stephanie ~ Council Grove
Prairie land food has helped my family through some tough times. There was always food through the month after purchasing the package. Everyone does some sort of volunteer work, so it's easy to get that done too! Thanks!

I started getting participating with Prairie Land Food as a single college student, because it was affordable. I was able to entertain without much expense. When I married I found Prairie Land food to be a tremendous help to feed my growing family. Prairie Land was how we could alot of food when my husband was laid off. I try to tell every one I can about how this is such a great way to get discounted food by helping your community @ the same time. Please don't ever stop coming to our community.
Kim ~ Garden City, Ks
It allows me to send help to my son who is in college. I pay for and take care of the volunteer hours and he gets the food in Manhattan without any hassles. It helps me help him!
Larry ~ Wichita, KS
Prairie Land Food has meant so much to me and my family. With soaring grocery prices, Prairie Land Food has allowed me buy great tasting and nutritious food at an affordable price. Thank you so much for all you do!
Gail ~ Valley Center
Prairie Land Food means getting good food at reasonable prices and not having to worry about where your next meal is coming from....
Kela ~ Goessel, Ks.
We LOVE PRAIRIE LAND!!!! Larry lost his job 7 weeks ago. I'm down to only 3 kids in my daycare. This is 100% of our food for the month. We only buy milk, bread, eggs from the store. I don't know what we would do without it.
Myra ~ Haysville, Ks
Prairie Land has helped my family and friends make it thru tough times without making anyone feel like we are under-serving. At the same time boosting or pride in helping our community.
Jennifer ~ Wichita, KS
this program has helped my family so much! I make min. wage and can’t go to the store as often as needed my son eats like a horse! So thank you for this program we greatly needed something like this to help stretch our food budget. Thank you Prairie Land Food, and thank you June for your updates and hooking us up.
Phyllis ~ Wichita, Ks
to be honest, we used only about half of our food each month. We had some wonderful neighbors -- she is not able to do much for herself and needs home care, and he isn't much better off. So we shared some of our "goodies" with them every month, and they were more than grateful. Thank you for allowing us to do that small act of kindness for them!!
Nancy ~ McPherson, Ks
Prairie Land Foods has helped our family stretch our food dollars more than once. We enjoy the variety and the fact that we can double the meat and buy the specials which are sometimes great time savers for us and our busy schedule. We have a large family and grow a lot of our own veggies so the exchange table is also a big help. Keep up the great work!!
Jaclyn ~ Newton, Ks
Variety! That’s what Prairie Land means to me.
Deb ~ Garden City, Ks
The Prairie Land Prairie Pack is a big part of my grocery budget monthly. Having items we might normally buy for 2 people and allowing variety when we have had to cut back in these tough economic times is a good thing for my family.
Teresa ~ Mulvane, Ks
The Prairie Land Food has been a real help to us. We get a variety of things to eat. It is also delicious.
Cynde ~ McPherson, Ks
Some times it means the difference of how many meals a day I will get and now that I am diabetic (just found out 1 month ago)... meals are so important. The meds are expensive and the choice of meals vs meds is a very thin line. This makes the line a little more tolerable. Thanks for the choice.
Dan ~ Wichita, KS
I am retired and on a fixed income. With the items in the Prairie Pak's and the extra items I am able to make my "fixed income" stretch through the month. I also help the homeless and less fortunate and lots of times I am able to share what I get with someone who is needier than I am.
Christine ~ Wichita, KS
Prairie Land Food has meant that I spend less on groceries and I am able to do more with the dollars I do spend at the store. I love the variety of the Paks and it allows me to eat more variety than just frozen meals!
Lou ~ Newton, KS
Prairie Land Food has made my meal planning easier by the variety of foods and has cut down on my food bill. I have been very pleased with the choices and the quality of the merchandise.
The prairie land foods has been helpful to our family when the budget gets tight.
Marie ~ Garden City, Ks
My husband and I use the Prairie Paks as a "blessing tool" to bless others that are in need of assistance. We remember a time in our lives when we couldn't make ends meet and had to decide between groceries and gas to get to work. The Lord always blessed us with food or cash from someone or somewhere just when we needed it. Now that we no longer experience those extremely toughs times, we have never forgotten how much it meant to receive that help. So we buy two extra Paks each month and find someone to bless that doesn't have things as easy as we do now. The monthly Paks keeps us on a schedule so that time doesn't slip by and we forget to take some food to someone.Send us your comments! - Thanks!
